Teaser Tuesday!

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser this week comes from:

Trickster's Girl by Hilari Bell
Release Date:  January 3rd, 2011
Publisher:  Houghton Mifflin Books

Short Blurb from Goodreads: In the year 2098 America isn't so different from the USA of today. But, in a post-9/11 security-obssessed world, "secured" doesn't just refer to borders between countries, it also refer to borders between states. Teenagers still think they know everything, but there is no cure for cancer, as Kelsa knows first-hand from watching her father die.

Teaser taken from page 57:
"They'll look there," Kelsa said.
"Not if it's locked and they don't have the key."
There was an old-fashioned keyhold under the doorknob.
"You don't have the key either! Even if you did, you couldn't lock it from inside."
Raven scowled.  "Do you always argue like--"
He stopped, listening.  Footsteps started down the stairs.

What books are you reading for your Teaser Tuesday?
