We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han

It's been two years since Conrad told Belly to go with Jeremiah. She and Jeremiah have been inseparable ever since, even attending the same college-- only, their relationship hasn't exactly been the happily ever after Belly had hoped it would be. And when Jeremiah makes the worst mistake a boy can make, Belly is forced to question what she thought was true love. Does she really have a future with Jeremiah? Has she ever gotten over Conrad? It's time for Belly to decide, once and for all, who has her heart forever.
This is one of those books that makes me waver between being perfectly happy and perfectly frustrated...but in a good way. A love triangle. Need I say more? I always have an idea of who I think the heroine should end up with, but it takes her so long to figure it out for herself. I want to bonk her head against the wall and yell, "wake up!"
Although I loved both Jeremiah and Conrad, I knew from the start who I wanted Belly to be with. The brothers are both good, for different reasons, but only one of them was completely and perfectly right for Isabella. She knew it, deep down, also, but it takes her a while to come to the right realization. Does she go with the one who has always been in her heart? Or does she go for the one who has always had her in his? The choice would have been hard for any girl.
Jenny Han brings a straightforward, honest approach to her writing that made me feel like I was experiencing Isabella's frustrations myself. I found myself just as torn as she was at times, as I was truly inside her head. This story was a simple one, but it had impact. A worthy debut from Jenny Han!
