Kiss of Frost by Jennifer Estep
Release Date: November 29, 2011

Logan Quinn was trying to kill me. My Spartan classmate relentlessly pursued me, swinging his sword at me over and over again, the shining silver blade inching closer to my throat every time. A smile tugged up his lips, and his ice-blue eyes practically glowed with the thrill of battle... I’m Gwen Frost, a second-year warrior-in-training at Mythos Academy, and I have no idea how I’m going to survive the rest of the semester. One day, I’m getting schooled in swordplay by the guy who broke my heart—the drop-dead gorgeous Logan who slays me every time. Then, an invisible archer in the Library of Antiquities decides to use me for target practice. And now, I find out that someone at the academy is really a Reaper bad guy who wants me dead. I’m afraid if I don’t learn how to live by the sword—with Logan’s help—I just might die by the sword... - Goodreads.com
Still love the Mythos Academy series. The sequel completely lived up to my expectations, and I found myself devouring it in basically one sitting. All of the things that I loved about the first story are all here in Kiss of Frost. The mythology, Logan, the romance, Logan, Gwen's funny, snarky narrative, Logan....
By this point, Gwen knows who and what she is. She also knows she has to learn how to fight in order to be ready in case her enemies come to kill her. And they're already coming. There are already moves being made that convince Gwen that someone's out to kill her. And she can't be super comfortable behind the school's walls this time. The author changed the stage a bit by sending everyone on an annual skiing retreat. Here, other schools join them and Gwen is able to make new friends. But she won't know if she's safe with all of them.
Logan plays a more central role in this story, which made me very happy, of course. What I loved about him in the first story, I adored in the second. There was a lot more Logan, and a lot more development between him and Gwen that just has me clammering for the third installment to come out. Which does happen until May 2012. How will I wait that long? I just finished reading book 2 and this is agony!!
Be watching for book three, Dark Frost:
