Monday's Month In Retrospect

It's time for Monday's Month In Retrospect. Let's look back at the previous month and see what I considered the Best Ofs for what I read in June 2012. Summer has turned out to be an awesome season as far as amazing books that have come out.

Again, this was a very difficult month to choose from.  I so wanted to pick this one book which was a sort of paranormal and the first in a series, but I always choose that type of book, it seems, and I really want to give some love to an awesome contemporary this month.  So...check it out...

Best Book I read last month (There's a tie):

Title: Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry
Release Date: July 31, 2012
Why it was my favorite: This was such a deeply moving story, and I just loved all of it!
Reviewed: Yes. See review here.

Best Heroine:
Honor from In Honor by Jessi Kirby
Why she's my favorite: This girl is suffering horrible grief, but she's so strong, she knows what she wants, and she goes to get it.  She's tough and a challenge.  I loved her.

Best Hero:
Tristan in Anew by Chelsea Fine
Why he's my favorite:   Who would NOT love this guy.  Sexy, sweet, brave and honorable, and quite a bit bad boy too.  Perfection!
Best Villain:
I don't really have a villain this month.  Most of the books I read this month didn't really have traditionally "villains."
Best Cover:
Why it's my favorite:  First, I just love the colors.  It's so vivid and eye-catching. But I also love how they worked the arrow into the letter "A" since the "Archer" brothers are the main point of the story, and their name is in the title.  Pretty perfect!

Leave a comment and share your Best Ofs for June!
