Cover Reveal & Mondays Month In Retrospect

I'm doing a two for one post today.  I'm excited to present the cover for Michelle Davidson Argyle's newest book, Pieces, a companion novel to The Breakaway.  Details below:

Release Date: February 14, 2013
Publisher: Rhemalda Publishing

Two years after watching her kidnappers go to prison, Naomi Jensen is still in love with one of them. Jesse will be released in a few years, and Naomi knows college is the perfect distraction while she waits. But when her new friend Finn makes her question what is right and what is wrong, she begins to wonder if Jesse is the one for her … until she discovers he's out on parole. Naomi must sort through her confusion to figure out where love and freedom truly lie—in Finn, who has no connections to her past, or Jesse, who has just asked her to run away with him.  -

And now, it's time for Monday's Month In Retrospect where I look back at the previous month and see what I considered the Best Ofs for what I read in October 2012.

Here we go!

Best Book I read last month (There's a tie):

Title: The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa
Release Date: October 23, 2012
Why it was my favorite: Amazing new series to follow The Iron Fey series.
Reviewed: Yes. See review here.

Best Heroine:
Aries from Jeyn Roberts'  Rage Within.
Why she's my favorite:  This is a strong girl.  She fights, she's smart, she takes care of the others, she's humble, and also has weaknesses.  A very well-rounded and 3 dimensional character.

Best Hero:
Ethan from Julie Kagawa's The Lost Prince
Why he's my favorite:    Have you see this boy fight with swords?  Helloooo!

Best Villain:
The "bad guys" in Jeyn Roberts' Rage Within
What made her a great villain:  Creepy, creepy, creepy!!
Best Cover:

Why it's my favorite: Blue!  Dark-haired guy.  What looks like some seriously cool tattoos.

Leave a comment and share your Best Ofs for October!
