The day Preston Drake figured out that wealthy women paid well for a set of tight abs and a pretty face his life turned around.  The run down rat-infested trailer he had shared with his alcoholic mother and three younger siblings was now only a place he visited to pay the bills and stock the pantry with food.  He no longer worried about his family starving or living without electricity. The money he made entertaining rich older women more than covered his family’s needs and his own. He had it all figured out. Except… There was this girl.  She was as innocent as he was tainted.  Amanda Hardy wished her knees didn’t get weak when Preston walked into a room. She hated the fact her heart raced when he flashed his smile in her direction. He had a different girl in his bed every night. He was the kind of boy a smart girl ran from. So, why was she coming up with ways to get close to him? Even when it was obvious he wanted to keep her at a distance.  Maybe her heart knew something the world didn’t. Maybe Preston Drake was more than just a pretty face.  - Goodreads.com

Sexy, sexy, sexy.  This story reminded me a great deal of Jamie McGuire's Beautiful Disaster... not because the story was similar in any way, because it wasn't.  But the characters and their interaction reminded me a great deal of Travis and Abby.  Preston is probably the closest thing to Travis Maddox that I've read in a book in a while... and of course, that's a good thing.  Everybody loved Travis, and who wouldn't.  But I think Preston is a bit more unique because he had a little bit more to him.

There are some things about Preston, about his life and his choices, that make you understand perfectly why he would choose to do what he's doing with older women.  He isn't just some guy that wants to jump in the sack with a bunch of women.  I'm sure he started out not hating it, but by the time he meets Amanda, he does.  But he continues to do it because he needs the money to take care of something that is so much more important than his personal feelings.

Amanda was spunky, sweet, and and you can definitely see what it is about her that would cause a guy like Preston to want to throw away what he's doing.  I loved her as a character, and loved how caring she was about Preston and his issues.  She pretty much flips his life up on its ear, and it wasn't something that needed to happen.

Once again, Abbi Glines has created two of the most amazing characters, an impossible situation to work through, and has managed to touch your heart at the same time.  I love Abbi's stories, and I know when I pick up one of her books, I'm going to get an interesting life lesson, some really emotional scenes, some hot chemistry, and sympathetic characters that I love.  As soon as I finish one of her books, I'm already clammoring for the next.
