Monday's Month in Retrospect

It's time for Monday's Month In Retrospect where I look back at the previous month and see what I considered the Best Ofs for what I read in December 2012.

Best Book I read last month:

Title: Crewel by Gennifer Albin  (I also have to give a shout out to Reached by Ally Condie and Crimson Frost by Jennifer Estep.  This was a really tough choice!!)
Release Date: October 16, 2012
Why it was my favorite: This has to be one of the most inventive stories I've read in a while.  Just amazing!  And the writing was fabulous.
Reviewed: Yes. See review here.

Best Heroine:
Rose from Louise Rozett's Confessions of an Angry Girl
Why she's my favorite:  She was so real.  Her narrative was raw, funny, angry, and just intense.

Best Hero:
It's a tie.  Ky and Xander from Ally Condie's Reached
Why he's my favorite: Dude was just awesome. Kind, smart, noble, and a touch of the bad boy too!

Best Villain:
The villain from Gretchen McNeil's Ten
What made him/her a great villain:  The fact that the person did all this.  Wow.
Best Cover:

Why it's my favorite:   I've been a big fan of the covers for this series since the beginning.  They each say something so clear about the book, its theme, and where things are going in the story.  This covers is no different.  I love it!

Leave a comment and share your Best Ofs for December!
