My Discussion Topic This Week - Do you like a lot of pictures on your favorite blogs or a more simplistic look?
I have an eclectic taste when it comes to blogs I follow. I follow some that are very minimalist, with hardly any sidebars details at all, just mainly content. Then I follow some blogs that have full sidebars with awards, lots of follow options, buttons for their favorite blogs, blog rolls, widgets, top posts, and much more. I myself utilize the following:
- Buttons for my favorite blogs
- Top posts
- Top commenters
- Blog Tour Coordinator sites I host for
- Current blog tours I'm in
As long as it doesn't take too long to load a page due to all the pics and widgets, and as long as the site doesn't look too cluttered, I don't really mind things on the sidebars. But I have seen some blogs that proudly display signs that say they are "100% award free" and I wonder to myself...are displaying awards a bad thing? What's the problem with awards?
