Thanks so much for stopping by at The Tale Temptress! As both a reader and a writer, I have a two-fold purpose with this blog:
- I want to share great books with other people who love reading as much as I do, and
- I want to promote authors because their creations, and they, deserve recognition for bringing us something that gives us such pleasure!!
As a very dedicated reader, I do read a lot of books. I don't always review every book I read. I pick and choose based on a mix of criteria that is one part whim, one part timing of the release (I tend to review upcoming and brand new releases, whether it's an ARC (I review all ARCs I receive) but I also like to review great books that have been out for a long time which I haven't seen reviewed before. Please note that I do not use a rating system. Ratings are too subjective and tell me nothing about a story's true enjoyability. My review comments explain more about what worked and what didn't for me. Although I do read adult fiction, I don't review it on the blog.
I do my best to review books in a timely fashion. However, it may take me up to a month to complete a review, depending upon how many other book review projects are on the list ahead of yours. ARCs and eGalleys take priority, however, and I typically post those one month prior to release date, unless otherwise directed by the person who provided the ARC/eBook.
All of my reviews are uploaded to BN.com, Amazon.com, Goodreads.com, as well as my social media including: Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Google +, StumbleUpon, etc. Additionally, I love to promote authors via author interviews posted to the blog. I like to create a small blog campaign where I review the book on the blog, and then post an interview within the month of release if possible. I'm also happy to host giveaways. If you would like to do a review, giveaway, or interview, please contact me.
REQUESTING A REVIEW
If you are a publicist, agent, editor, or author and wish for me to review a book, please email me at email@example.com. I accept Young Adult/New Adult Advanced Reading and Finished copies, including eBooks in any format.
I highly support Indie authors and welcome the chance to review their releases. Please make note though... I ONLY review Young Adult and New Adult books. As much as I may enjoy reading other genres, I don't review them.
